I really liked your blog with the Jair Jurrjens item. I think Jurrjens could be a hall-of-famer.
I try to follow as much MLB news as I can from Caracas, Venzuela.

Frenchy's definitely overrated. I say we stick Blanco out in right and ship his ass back to Mississippi.

Everytime Frenchy was up to bat I felt this incredible amount of tension. I wanted so badly to see him finally break through with a big hit and restore some credibility and then cringed after the inevitable "K".

If it couldn't get worse than the 3 K's the GIDP w/ the bases loaded really took some wind out of the sails. How can we win games when we're routinely leaving 10-15 LOB's each night?

Anyway, I wouldn't be too surprised to see JF"K" in Richmond for a few games. It would be a little sad but he needs to get the swing back somehow.

I'm still surprised that no one has still picked him up already. I know he is a huge media magnet and that he has a lot of controversy behind him, but regardless, the guy can still hit home runs and can be very valuable especially for an AL team. I'm interested in where you heard the rumor of Barry possible going to Atlanta?

I agree. But you gotta admit Tex is starting to play alot better. I truly think that if Frenchy was playing like he did last year, we would be in first place. He has killed too many rallies and the guys ahead of him have been getting on base alot, but he just isn't bringing them in. I think when Kotsay gets back you will see a big difference.

I'm scratching my head, trying to figure out where the Braves offense has gone? They have such a talented line-up but I'm starting to wonder if Frenchy has a lingering injury. I've sat in the right field stands at Turner for about 10 games this year and have watched him half-hustle for several base hits that could've been catches. And it dosn't help that Tex wants the huge contract for next year - he probably is thinking about which New York ballpark he'll play in. I say they try and find another outfield catalyst before the trade deadline (Xavier Nady, Adam Dunn, or the Kid) who knows? Maybe it'd turn the tides on the season.

Jo Jo was exceptional. How could we not get a run across? Well I hate to blame it on one guy but Frenchy pretty much blew the few chances we had.

I guess missing Yunel and Chipper caught up with us on this one.

You're right. Gotta get some back against the Phils. Good thing is they're not playing great ball right now either.

JB

PS with the upcoming Phillies series,<a href="http://bravesblogger.wordpress.com/2008/06/06/in-the-valley-of-elah/" rel="nofollow"> here's a post I thought you might like.</a>

Is Jurrjens our ace or Tim Hudson?

Both have been phenomenal this year and Huddy's getting the lack of run support Smoltzies suffered from last year. Think how many wins Tim would have if he got some of those one runners back?

Great win tonight and great to see Gonzo get another lights out ninth.

Jurrjens is for real in my book and I don't miss Edgar that much any more oddly enough.

oooooowwwww!
Did you catch Baseball Tonight last night? They were actually talking about this same issue.

I'm starting to agree with you about Bud Selig. Now these statements may be debatable to some but to me, the biggest atrocities of all baseball history occurred during the Reign of Selig.

Steroids Era
Interleague Play
The Brewers all of a sudden switching leagues after being in the AL since inception.
The All Star Game to decide home field adv. in the WS
Possible "contraction" of two major league teams.....

I think the list could go on. Can we raise Kennesaw Mountain Landis from the dead? He'd never put up with juicers and the sort.
